It’s always great when women come together, especially when it’s for a great cause. 2018 marks 100 years since women were given the right to vote. 100 years! We have come so far! Last week was also International woman’s day where we were celebrating women everywhere! It was so beautiful to see. We as women go through so much, we have to go to work when we’re pregnant, on our periods, raise a family, cook, clean not to mention we have to make sure that we look our best all the time, even when we at times feel the worst. This isn’t a feminist point of view this is just plain FACTS! Hence why I love international woman’s day because we all get to come together and appreciate, see empowerment, inspiration and to be motivated. Here at Simply Ladies inc, we had a fantastic ladies night to celebrate and we had a great time! Our members were welcomed to a complimentary prosecco reception in on of the most luxurious Hotel & Brasseries in Leeds, (not to mention all Simply Ladies members get huge discounts with Malmaiosn). Amazing Canapés (vegan and non vegan option were available), motivational speaking, and the opportunity to indulge in treatments i.e. hand and foot massages from Mwah Beauty, Product demonstration from Tropics, Denaj Beauty not mention fashion collection from Bitmintage and the lovely Three Six hair salon. We had a blast!
The highlight of the night for me was the golden box! Unknown to the guests, the chair that they chose to sit on was a lucky chair for someone. One of our members won a luxury photo shoot from the award winning MI&CO The Portrait Studio. It was so nice to see the look on her face when she won and the genuine happiness and support of the other women.
Every single member received departing goody bag that had, Mac 3D mascara, 30 minute Mac Makeover, £100 worth of body shop samples, 20% off Malmaison food voucher and Pro Blo hair mask samples (they are amazing!) As you can see we were spoilt rotten! But ladies we deserve it! We really do. We have events all year round check out our group on Facebook to keep up with all things Simply Ladies.
I love being a positive person and I love inspiring people (not just women). But somedays, not many, but somedays I don’t feel as motivated as others. This is because being a single mother and an entrepreneur is not the easiest jobs out there and finding a balance isn’t easy.
So, I went to my facebook group which is filled with amazing women that are and told them exactly how I felt. And you know what, it was the best thing that I did!
They put the biggest smile not only on my face but in my heart. I told them about how sometimes I miss my late partner and that I sometimes feel guilty that I don’t spend enough time with my children.
This may sound like I’m nagging but the that’s far from it because the beauty of allowing yourself to be vulnerable is allowing others to see that you are real! Life isn’t perfect, we all have been through things in life that haven’t been pleasant but we get through it, and today I was helped by the women who I want to inspire and motivate, they motivated me, how ironic is that? Thank you, ladies!
Join our group today and be apart of the best girl gang ever!
Enough of the posting, enough of the positivity behind a screen it’s time we meet face to face.
Simply Ladies inc is going on tour and our first stop is Leeds. Come and meet us at Salutes, where you will receive a free glass of wine and access to the most rewarding night you’ll ever attend. Our aim is to remind you how amazing it is right now to be a woman better yet a Simply Lady member.

Salute The White Swan,
One of the reasons why I decided to create Simply Ladies Inc. was because I found myself in the company of a lot of inspirational women, and I realised that each and every single woman – whether they were rich or poor, with children or without, even if they were employed or not -had a story to tell, including myself.
I’ve always been an Agony Aunt kind of friend. I guess I just understand that life has its fair shares of ups and downs and that everyone has an individual journey to go through which makes us who we are. I realised this in 2014 when I myself went through something that would change my life forever. It was this change that gave me the passion for creating something toward women and giving us that gentle pat on the back to encourage us on our journey. So, here goes…
In September 2013, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.I was so happy! I had one of each, and I was deeply in love with my partner.I had created my family and, to me, there was no greater feeling. Fast forward to six months later, when I woke up to a devastating call from my partner’s mother, stating that he had been found dead in his apartment. He had died from an unknown allergic reaction in his sleep. The devastation was unreal. One moment I was planning a christening and talking to him about what tie he was going to wear with the suit I had just bought him, to then thinking that he might end up wearing it for his funeral. My anxiety levels went through the roof! I remember saying to myself,“27years old, two children, no job, and basically a widow”. I’ve always been a positive person and I’ve always tried to be an advocate of the positive thinking ideology, but I could see myself becoming depressed. This was not what I wanted for my life; I wanted to be happy, I wanted to be like those I could see on my Facebook news feed who appeared to be living meaningful lives. But, at the same time, I thought about those people who are just like me; ambitious, kind, caring, mothers, single, hardworking, a good friend, a daughter, a sister, grieving, jobless however educated and so much more. I say this whilst hearing Whitney Houston’s song ‘I’m Every Woman’ in my head. We are, though! We are every woman, we go through so much and we just get on with it, and a lot of the time with no reward. Well, this is where Simply Ladies Inc.comes in.
